Dr Nandita Chaudhary, Indian expert in Child Development and Family Studies, questions the application by child protective agencies (CPS) of culturally-specific Western theories of developmental psychology to child-raising in other cultures. Dr Chaudhary asks for understanding and respect for other approaches to child-raising in child protection systems everywhere. This was presented at a seminar held in New Delhi, India, on 18 March 2023, on the humanitarian crisis caused by CPS agencies worldwide.
