This was a report published in the UK publication, The Agitator, in 2010. Dr Marta Cohen was later cleared of any wrongdoing (see here). But a few years later she was again referred to the General Medical Council for giving expert testimony negating Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) allegations. The case against her was dropped, but she announced that it was no longer possible for her to act as an expert witness in the defence of parents facing SBS allegations. See a report here. This latter report also refers to similar proceedings against another doctor, Dr Waney Squier, who had been giving expert testimony refuting SBS allegations. Search our website for further information about her.

Dr Marta Cohen continues to practice as a doctor in the UK. Information on her work on SBS can be found here  and here.
